Don Laughlin's Riverside resort is the most upscale hotel/casino in Laughlin

My second choice would be the Tropicana Express. They have a great pool/garden area. The only drawback is, the hotel is not on the river.

Aquarius would be my #3 choice. They do have a nice casino, and their Casino suites are very nice>if you want a suite

Harrah's would be #4 on my list >Some rooms are much nicer than others, make sure you know what you're getting

Golden Nugget #5

There is a big difference between the above hotels and the
Colorado Belle
Edgewater
River Palms
These are very basic, no frills 2 star hotels. Of the 3 I like the Colorado Belle best, it's a fun place & the employees are super nice.

The gaming in Laughlin reminds me of downtown LV, good video poker & lots of low limit tables. The buffets are a little high($) unless they are having some kind of special. If you like to play the comp game, it's hard to beat laughlin. Even low rollers can expect future free night offers.

5 hours of quarter VP play(5K) per day will get you free room offers from any/all hotels in Laughlin. I have friends who play about 10K a day, the Tropicana flies them out(Chicago) and treats them like royalty.

While the Aquarius, formerly known as the Flamingo, is a nice place I would say Harrah's is probably the nicest place in Laughlin.

The main drawback is that it is at the south end of town away from the other casinos. The water taxi on the river makes it not too much of a problem.

I think the Flamingo there is now the Aquarius -- personally, I like the River Palms -- it has a small, but well run poker room, a buffet, coffee shop, etc. Harrah's is the only casino with its own little beach, but it's at the far south end of the "strip" and not within easy walking distance of anything. Whichever hotel you choose, make sure to ask for a river view room, otherwise you're looking out over parking lots. The Colorado river is right outside of the casinos and you can take a jet boat ride down to Lake Havasu and the London Bridge. Just remember that it's about 120 degrees down there right now.

the hotel that i liked best when i went there was the colorado belle hotel. it's right on the river and it was really cool inside. if not, the river palms resort was pretty cool. i thought those were the most original hotels. there are other ones but they are huge chain hotels like harrahs and stuff. good luck with ur choice!

When I went there I liked the Flamingo Hilton. It was kind of like the one in Vegas but smaller and cozier.
