Yea, but mine is not a "Good" time staying still moment.
It was when my Dad died 2 years ago from cancer. Throughout his entire bout with cancer (6 months) I never actually believed he was going to die. I just kept telling my self that he would make it through, he's strong he will make it. I kept telling myself that up to his last breath.
So it hit me very hard that he had actually died. When i was walking out of the hospital it felt like on of those movies where everything is completely still and its just you walking, weaving in and out of people, still as statues.
That's when time stood still for me.

Yes there was, twenty years ago my father and I toured the United States and Canada, for three solid months. During that period, time stood still, after a few weeks on the road. I had left the world of daily drudgery behind me. Every moment of every day was an adventure, seeing new sights, people and places. Every morning was a fresh start, just rolling down the open road on my motorcycle, with my dad on his in front, it was awesome. Time stood still, until I pulled up in the driveway at home.

Whenever I see true beauty, time seems to stand still...
for instance...
when I stood on a mountaintop in Bavaria at Neuschwanstein Castle
when I saw the sun rise over Smoke Lake in Algonquin
when I first looked into my boyfriend's eyes.
As the saying goes, life isn't measured by the breaths we take but the moments that take our breath way. For these brief moments when something touches our soul, there is no time, we have a taste of immortality, a glimpse of the divine...

Yes, many times actually. When I saw my kids born, that was a moment that time stood still.
When I hooked into a nice sized Yellowtail off the coast of Catalina, that was a time that stood still.
When I saw this beautiful woman on a train in Japan, I got lost in her eyes and that time stood still.
There are many more. The best thing about these times are that they never leave you.

Time stood still for me when my husband passed from this life to the next. For a moment, a window to eternity opened for me.

Yeah, but not like a GOOD standing still of time. It was when I found out my boyfriend of 2 years cheated on me....time stood still, but my mind and heart were racing. Not a good feeling :(

yeah. when my mom found out i lost my virginity. it all went so slow. the next day like things couldnt get any worse someone broke her car window and stole her radio n other things. and it was snowing too! i guess it all came down on her and she just started crying so loud. i never seen my mother like that. it just broke my heart. i felt like i was moving so slow. my mom on the wheel crying her eys out and screaming. and the snow coming down so soft and the air standing still. the longest 10 minutes of my life that i never want to go back to.

In the presence of love divine, time stands still, it always does. Time melts away in its surrender to love. Perhaps even time joins in, the ecstasy.
