I know that he looks like hes taken steroids, but he has not been charged or convicted. And you have to admit over 750 homeruns is alot and you still have to hit the ball over the fence 750 times. I am not a Barry Bonds fan but he is a certain hall of famer. What is your opinion?

seriously I'm not sure, it sure does cast a cloud over him, as does some of his comments and attitude in the past, but I'm not sure how much that bugs me.

He was doing what a lot of people would do and that is try to become the best he could at what he did. That meant taking steroids and it is sad that society cares so much about things that people feel the need to do such things. He is the best hitter I have seen obviously, but I can't help to think that he cheated. He cheated Hank Aaron and he cheated players who choose not to take steroids. A lot of other players took them and no one cares like Big Mac and Giambino, so that is kind of bs. I think when the smoke settles, he will go down as one of the top 5 best players ever and kids will run up to him and ask him for autographs and why should'nt they? If I have a kid someday, I will tell him that is Barry Bonds. The best player that I've ever seen, I probably would not mention the steroid thing because it won't really matter anymore. He will learn that on his own and have to deide for himself what is right.

He did take steroids, but so did a lot of players. And yes, he's most definitely going to the hall of fame. He was a great hitter and the steroids added a little more pop, but either way he would still be close to the record. He made a mistake but he hit the ball really frikin far before and after the steroids too.

Why is it that steroids only get brought up about the big hitters, like Bonds, McGwire, Giambi, etc? Does anyone realize that its just as likely that many of the pitchers at the time were also taking some type of steroids? Just because they don't make you bigger doesn't mean they don't help. Furthermore, Bonds was a HOF before any steroid talk. The likelihood is that he won't get first ballot.

He'll pass the record up, will get inducted into the HOF, will not win a WS ring, but will probably get caught for tax evasion and perjury for lying to the grand jury for drug use. He should have just fessed up because he took drugs when they were not banned or illegal at the time. That would have lessened the hatred from fans and media alike.

He's not a bad person, his personality is not screwed up (i've met him personally many times at work) and he just did what he could to help the team out.

I'm glad you asked, because I love the responses to these types of questions. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the guy, but I can imagine how Giants fans feel on a fence of whether to support the man or not.

He is arrogent and a lot of people outside of San Fransico don't like him, but eventually i would say he will make Cooperstown. Maby he won't make it in first ballot as punishment for all the allogations but i think eventually he will make it in unless somehow it is proven he took steroids.

If he makes the hall of fame then so should Pete Rose. Pete did way more for baseball than Barry Bonds ever thought about doing. I know they both have their faults (don't we all?) Barry seems to be more centered on himself while Pete ate, lived and breathed baseball. And you never saw Pete play anything but all out.

Bonds is one of the greatest ball players ever and deserves credit for all of his accomplishments. He will never test positive for any of the (53) banned substances in the MLB and union drug testing program and it will be left in the hands of the every day fan to come to their own conclusion as to their feelings about Bonds.
