Take my advice and if you see anything resembling an iPod, run away; run FAR away!
The Creative Zen Vision (30 GB) has what the iPod 30 GB has, including an FM tuner (Apple charges an extra $50 for that). I don't know about video capacity but I do think it has it. You might want to ask a store associate for details.
At BestBuy and at Circuit City, the Creative Zen Vision runs about $250 not including the 2 yr. warranty. However, I recently got another Creative Zen to replace the one I lost....got it at CC (Circuit City) on sale for $193. Throw in a warranty and it was $250 even.
I'm not sure if it's still on sale at CC or not. They told me that if you come in and see it cheaper on their website than in the store, they will give it to you for the website price.
Apple iPod Nanos and Shuffles are shoddy workmanship at best. My mom's Shuffle died after 6 mos. (she and my dad now have Sansa SanDisks). My Nano messed up, got another one, then that one messed up so I am now happily satisfied with my Creative Zen (was recommended to me by a co-worker).
The Sansa SanDisk is about 1 GBish and can hold anywhere from 100 to 240 songs (they run anywhere from $40 to $70). Creative Zen Vision holds up to 15,000 songs.

I have an iPod and if I had to do it over again I could get a Creative Zen. They are much better and their customer service is awesome. Apple is just a brand that everyone wants to be seen with and that's why they are so expensive. The Zen has video and a large hard drive, and I think you can get different colours too.

Go with the Zen as others have suggested. That way you can use it at all the other music stores and not just Itunes like with the Ipod.
Here's a link. This really is a great player. Everyone in my family has one.

I actually use my PSP for a portable video player. Sure it doesn't have the memory capacity of the dedicated players but when you factor in that you can play games on it, it has upgradeable memory storage, and that it has a built in web browser that makes up for it in my opinion. Plus you can buy movies at various stores for it for about $10. It also has a bigger screen than the dedicated players I've looked at.

Creative Zen Vision M 30 GB is great. Way more features then the Ipod. The only drawback is that accessories are sometimes scarce because Ipod dominates the market share and forces stores to carry everything.
See this Circuit City web site for the player and it is on sale this week for $193.00.
Good luck!

I would suggest a Sansa Sandisk e2600. Has a built-in radio, plays music, and can play videos. If you don't like the memory that is built-in then you can buy a memory card to upgrade it.

Or Creative's new MP3 player, unfortunately it doesn't play the same variety of audio files or come with itunes, but it's the same price and has FM and radio!

If I were you don't go with iPod like everyone is saying. Go with Creative Zen. It's much better, and much less costly. Has much better audio quality, and has some nice tools with it that the iPod lacks. (i.e. the equalizer)
