The career of a running back is hard to predict. His stats right now are great, but RBs can get old overnight. He'll need to keep this pace up for at least three more seasons before we should start comparing him to the best RBs of all time.

The answer is simply yes!!! You guys crack me up, he doesn't have to win titles to make him the greatest back of all time because the greatest back of all time right now has no titles. Sweetness was great but he's not the best. Emmit Smith is a bum who had a great line, his line averaged 330 lbs when d-linemen weighed less than that, if you would have put him with a different line he wouldn't be where he is right now at the top of the list. The current Greatest Of All Time, now is BARRY SANDERS! He has no titles , he could have the record , and blown Emmit out of the water with a sh*^y line. L.T. is like Barry , he's humble and he has a blue collar attitude , he loves his job and doesn't have a big head or bad attitude about. L.T. will be the best or at least second best of all time. LONG LIVE BARRY!!!!!!!!!!

Tomlinson will definitely hold the record for most touchdowns at the end of his career with 100 toucdowns in 6 seasons. Emmitt Smith holds it with 164, but Tomlinson has yet to prove one thing all great runningbacks have alike most of the all time greats have all won Superbowls.

With what he does probably. But we also have to look at the point that football is different from what it used to be. He also isn't anywhere close the single season rushing yards record, so while he scores a lot, that doesn't mean he is the greatest. I would never put him above Walter Payton, Erick Dickerson and even Barry Sanders and Emmit Smith

i will supply Sanders credit for being on a bad team and being an stunning participant, yet i do no longer think of that he would be considered the best participant of all time. you may evaluate gamers like Walter Payton, Jim Brown, perhaps LaDainian Tomlinson, and perhaps even later Adrian Peterson.

All depends on when he retires. At this pace I believe the answer will be yes. Reality is that every generation will see someone new and improved...and that could end up being Larry Johnson.

If he keeps this up and wins a ring or two, then maybe. But for now, Sweetness is still the best.
