No! What kind of cruel daughter are you?

A better person doesn't seek revenge or try to make up for wrongs against them.

Maybe they didn't know how to be better parents.

My dad wasn't the greatest but I wouldn't stick him in a old folks home. Assisted living is as bad as nursing homes used to be. But my parents would only go there if that was their choice.

You make nursing homes sound bad. they aren't! A lot of people I know fought tooth and nail to stay out of nursing homes but once they are in for 3 months...they don't wanna leave.

I'd put my mom in a nursing home if I couldn't take care of her. In fact, I think she would rather go there than live with me...

No never. No matter how lousy there are. Never. Revenge wont do anything. You will be just making peoples' live miserable. Its not worth it. Its worth being the bigger person.

Should parents send you to boot camp for being a lousy daughter? Send them where you want, but will it be the "right" thing to do? Will you be the better person? Will you benefit from it? Can you live your life knowing you turned away?

No. My mother was in one out of necessity and I'm full of guilt and remorse. She was a wonderful mother and friend.

NO. We had to put my mother in one because her health was so poor. I wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy. She begged to go home; it was very sad.
