They are not worse.

We've done two unrelated things in Iraq. We went in and deposed the previous govt (Saddam). That took a few weeks, and very few if any loss of American lives.

And we stayed for years after Mission Accomplished as a national police force in middle of Iraq's internal civil war. Almost all of our casualties occurred during this later mission.

We could pull out, allow Iraq to form whatever govt it wanted, and depose that govt by force a dozen times and still not spend 10% of what we're currently spending every year, and with about 1% of the casualties.

So, the arguments that staying there is the best option ignore the reality of what we've already historically proven. It's much easier to knock down a govt we don't like than to build one we do.

Afghanistan.

There are troops from the western world there. Pull out of Iraq and Muslim extremists will see that as a victory and increase attacks in Afghanistan.

Also, if the west pulls of of Iraq, Iraq will descend into a civil war. One that can destabilise the region, and therefore oil supplies. If that happens, the economy goes to pot.

They are not
Stop lying
Relief all over the world that there is no more conflict of that nature in Iraq
Easing of tensions in the Arab world as well as the West
Allowing for the talking and healing to begin
Respect for America from its less extreme enemies.
A blow to the extremists that America has a heart.
etc...etc...etc...

The only negative effect is to those that are profiteering from the war both in Iraq and America.

Grow up
