i want to put music on my website... but not for download just to listen to.. is this still illegal? and if so then how does Yahoo Music do it? how would i make it legal to put music on my site?

Yes it's legal. You can go to sites like eSnips or imeem and you can post links and/or the actual song on your page by following their instructions on the site.

However, you can't download the song. It'll be just like listening to it on iTunes or Rhapsody.

Yahoo Music has contracts and license agreements with the music production companies. You don't.
