There's a good list here:
http://www.childbirth.org/articles/questions.html
Don't shy off from the 'tough' questions about his/her style of practice. You don't want some intervention-happy type who'll lead you to a worrisome pregnancy that ends in a c-section.
"The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth" (see hencigoer.com) is an excellent read -- you'll end up with the whyfor of the need to ask a lot of the questions on that list. Good luck!

you are pregnant a positive is a positive so congrats! anyways you should ask how far alone you are and when is your due date. ask how often you need to come in for appointments (this will keep changing the further along you get) and what are your options for hospitals (if there is more than one) we had two to choose from. i just moved here two years ago and have never had to go to the hospital so i asked the nurse and the doctor which one was the best and where i could find out info on them. good luck!

hey there, dont worry the first vist to your doctors..not a whole lot happens. They will ask when your last period was and also have a check at your tummy too.
They WONT be able to tell you your due dqate like the first person says you have to wait till your ultrasound for that.
Even ask what will happen after your appointment with them today. When you will be able to get your first scan? When you'll meet your midwide/s. you find out all the info you need as you go along. so dont worry..they will never be left in the dark about what is happening =)

if you have rescently become pregnant there are not many questions for you to ask, when you visit your doctor they will book you in to see a midwife and they will be pretty much asking all the questions, they ask you about your background, weather you have been pregnant before and things like that, you need to know your due date, the day of your last period, until you have your first scan there is not a lot to ask at this point

Congratulations on your pregnancy. In addition to asking your doctor any questions you have, ask her to recommend a reliable pregnancy book(s) and/or websites. My favorite was Dr. Sears "The Pregnancy Book" and later on "The Birth Book" and "The Baby Book". Many people like "What to Expect When You're Expecting" but I like the Dr. Sears books, especially if you're planning to have a natural birth, and to breastfeed your newborn. There are lots of good websites, including this one, but always take what you read online with a large grain of salt. Congratulations on your little one, and I hope you enjoy your pregnancy.

There is really nothing to get done. She will probably do a pregnancy test and a vaginal exam. Know the first day of your lst menstral cycle that is how they can give you your due date. Ask what kind of diet & excercise if any you should be doing. Any precautions you should take I mean are there any activities you should stop doing.

If your doctor is any good, he/she will ask you a whole long list of questions regarding your family history and your plans for this pregnancy. They should also confirm the pregnancy with an ultrasound to verify exactly how far along you are.

Don't worry, if you don't ask everything your first visit. You will be seeing your doctor a lot in the near future if your test is positive.
I recommend buying a book on pregnancy and childbirth.
good luck to you.

A lot depends on you - do you want to know the sex? do you want to know about birth defects? Basically best advice is to go for prenatal care and do as your Dr recommends. I have 3 kids all healthy but one has birth defect. I had all my kids natural childbirth but again that is up to you. Get a good pregnancy book - they have alot of advise. Good luck and God bless you and the baby!

Calcium Supplement, it may be too early or you may not need one but still good to ask. Also, the prenatal vitamin.
What to expect from your doctor appointments. If you would be better with a doctor or a midwife. (I thought doctor, but after hearing the difference i chose a midwife...but that's your personal decision)
