My son is only 5 1/2 months old, but he had some eczema when he was about a month old that took a few months to clear up. So far we've been lucky it hasn't come back. Eczema can be brought on by allergens so it could be something your daughter is being exposed to that she's allergic to. Your doctor might go over this, but definitely bring it up. My niece had eczema from the time she was about a year old until she was 5. Most babies will grow out of it and be perfectly fine later on. But it is a hassle to deal with and breaks your heart to see them itch. Best of luck to you and your daughter.

You can't get rid of it immediately. Sorry to say. You can rub ice directly on it to temporarily relieve the itch and sting. Only for a few seconds. The best thing would be to go to the doctor and they can prescribe Elidel (non-steroid) which may help you or you may need to get one with a steroid in severe cases. Sometimes it seems like nothing will work this is the downfall of having eczema. Once you start having break outs it will just be something you have to manage. Believe me I know.
