instead of cowardly hiding behind their computers and crying about how it is worth our soldiers dying policing a civil war?

Four soldiers and their Iraqi interpreter were killed when a roadside bomb detonated near the patrol on Wednesday in the eastern half of the Iraqi capital during "combat operations," the military said on Thursday.

It did not specify the exact location of the blast.

Another servicemember, a Task Force Marne soldier, was killed by small arms fire on Thursday south of Baghdad, the military said in a separate statement.

It may be policing a civil war but it is one we caused. It would be wrong for us to simply leave civilians with no protection.

War is justifiable if you are defending yourself (in this case - your country) so the real question comes down to - are we defending america - the real answer is - NO That being said - lets recognize the quagmire for what it is now - we are there - we are fightiing - and we have people dying there - what do we do about it? It doesnt matter who supports whom at this point or what the root cause of it is - the fact that it exist and needs to be addressed is what counts - so how do we address it?? The solution - bring them home where they belong - the longer we stay there the worse it gets - the more our people will die - the more the outside world will hate us - the more we get entangled with the things going on over the - just bring them home and all those problems disappear Jeeper-Creeper: Congress passed a resolution but did NOT follow the constitution - so - in effect we broke our laws - Cngress, according to the constitution, is the ONLY group who has the authority to declare war on another countyr AND that was NOT done going into Afganistan or Iraq - regardless of what resolution they passed WAR was never declared As for anyone else stupid enough to believe the war is justified - all bush did was replace the "cold war" with the "war on terror". If this "war on terror" was a real war 1. what country are we at war with? 2. how do we know when we win the war? 3. how do we know when the war is over? You can see how it is an open ended war - if you cant you need to get some mental glasses - there is no way to win - by declaring a "war on terror" we have basically set ourselves up to be the "world police" - if you dont see the inherent dangers in this you guys are much worse off then I thought.

I would--yes, I would take their place in the war..and I'm simply 14. Cowardly you say? I agree with the person who replied earlier. Change all your pronouns to "me". Also, haven't you heard of volunteer military? Meaning they offered to serve in the army? Many people are proud to of served--and yet you insult veterns in this way: By not supporting them, while other people do. I agree, however, that everyone has their own oppinions. But with no support, what is the point? Our soldiers are worth fighting, and not dying. Sadly, some do die. We can't controll that..however, you make it seem as if we're responsible for it. Also, think about this: Would you rather fight in Iraq, or on our own soil..in America? Because if we leave Iraq, Iraqis WILL follow us back to America, ready to start the fight again..only here. Also..while people joined in the army; they knew the risks..but they did it anyway, for the sake of our country.

I would in a heartbeat if I was able too and I'm a democrat. It breaks my heart that our troops are over there giving up their lives and fighting for something they believe to be Iraqs freedom while Iraqi parliament goes on vacation because it's too hot. It's not too hot for the troops so why should they get to go on vacation. Its so disgusting that the Bush administration doesn't care enough to send them in harms way without even giving them needed body armour. Disgusting Mr. Bush. Show a little support Tony Snow and quit saying everything you're told to say.

Talk about cowardly hiding, remember the rights that give you the ability to do that, and all the Iraqis that don't have those rights

I think the question is? Why the hell should people fight a war the government started? Lets send the politicians over there first and if they get killed then we can decide to fight or not.

You know the answer to this question..... they will also cowardly add that they are VOLUNTEERS.

The brave men and women of the military DID NOT volunteer to die in a facile and illegal war for the oil resources of Iraq.

Hiding behind computers? I would hardly call it that, I'd say it's living. I would die if I knew it would get us out of their and help our country. You're the coward making it sound like Iraq's a draft...

talk about a coward..you can easily change every pronoun there to me..I can see why you've been banned from here three other times

I did my service and think that trolls like you should
shut their pieholes..my Son who is currently serving and myself abhor the fact you think that you speak for us..

because..we both know giving in to these people..
will insure the fact that when you have something important
to say instead of hateful tripe..

the forum won't be there..

I suggest you find a career path..and think about your own future

We've been in this war for more than four years now so every man and woman over there either signed up or reenlisted during this war. They knew the risks involved when they joined up.

Rather than protesting the war in the safety of your home, take your protesting to the frontline and I bet it will make a difference!
