He'll have been gone for 30 years next month, but I know alot of people who still love him, and I have at least one friend who frequently listens to the all-Elvis station on satellite radio.

Please share your favorite(s), comment on your choice(s) or the King himself as you like, and thank your preferred deity that you have never heard me perform 'In the Ghetto' at karaoke night! LMAO

Thanks, everyone!

My daddy used to be in a band. Elvis was his idol, so as you can imagine, we listened to Elvis a lot. I also sang his songs a lot as my dad and his bandmates thought it was cute. Anyway, here is my list, be it ever so long, of my Elvis faves:

Heartbreak Hotel
Blue Suede Shoes
Hound Dog
Don't Be Cruel
Love Me Tender
All Shook Up
Teddy Bear
Jailhouse Rock
One Night
It's Now Or Never
Are You Lonesome Tonight
Devil In Disguise
Can't Help Falling In Love
Burnin Love
Rubberneckin'
In The Ghetto
Blue Christmas
Viva Las Vegas
Little Sister
I Want You, I Need You, I Love You

I will also have to say that I am one of those people who can't help but watch his cheesy movies whenever I see them on. I don't know why! They are all terrible, but I just love them!

Don't be ashamed about the karaoke thing. When I was 7 I combed my hair back and dressed up in a jumpsuit like Halloween costume. I tried to strum the tiny guitar while looking at a sheet of lyrics on the table. Good times.. =)

For the good times
Just Pretend
Can't help falling in love
No more
For Ol' times' Sake
Where could I go but to the lord
If I can dream
Don't cry daddy
In the Ghetto
It hurts me
.....
ooh should I go on??These are songs, that just come straight to you!... You listen to him singing, the emotion that he puts in them, and it touches your heart.
Gosh, Elvis is a part of my life and a part of what i am. It's been 5 years since my passion for him begun, and I wouldn't compare his impact on my life to any other artist's influence.
I love him with all my heart.

"Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help
Falling in love with you"
THAT'S WHEN I FELL IN LOVE WITH ELVIS!!!
That is my favorite song of his.
I also like his version of Amazing Grace. Some of his Gospel songs are the best.
I learned to write lyrics and poetry from him!
May God bless you.
