Send her a 'sealed letter' containing your proposal inside another envelope that contains 'money' and 'instructions' ... tell her to get 'as dirty and ugly as she can' doing something that she 'ALWAYS has to do' ... and when she's feeling the most 'down and depressed' about her looks, her personality, or whatever, tell her THAT is the 'right time and place' to 'open' the sealed letter ... and of course, to read what's inside. Tell her after that 'proposal' that you LOVE her when she's at her best, but that you also LOVE HER just as much when she's at her worst, and that you would be 'really privileged' to become her 'bright spot' on a 'bad day' for the rest of your lives. Yes, I went to the link and looked at the site, and I'm not impressed ... it's actually 'way too normal' and seems a bit 'impersonal' ... but 'romantic' means loving a person NO MATTER WHAT, so your 'backwards approach' when shes at her 'very worst' will be so much more 'romantic' than the traditional 'fine dinner in formal dress' proposal that most people think is 'best.'

You may want to consider showing up in Australia and suprising her and then proposing. The idea of you showing up unexpectedly is romantic, and then proposing would be the icing on the cake! I had a long distance relationship and always dreamed of it happening this way. Traveling halfway across the world to ask her signifies that there is no limit to what you would do for her.

I personally would not be thrilled to read a proposal over the internet. This is one of those things you really should do in person. If that is not possible, how about getting each of you webcams and pop the question when you're chatting one night?

If you can afford it, perhaps you should go to her in Australia. This way she can she how much you really care for her, that you are willing to go to that extreme to be with her, it'll be sweet and cute. Think about it, you don't necessarily have to do it. The options are endless. I'm sure if you really put your mind to it, you can come up with a great way to propose to her.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF PIE DO NOT USE THE INTERNET. It's very impersonal and if she's the "love of your life", don't you think it would be fitting to do something a little nicer?
