I asked the question regarding a traffic stop involving running a red light and the subsequent discovery of a suspended license. If red light charge is dropped, why cant license charge be dropped under the exclusionary rule?

Because the license is still expired; the "dropped" means the light was not run.

Think about it this way.
Regardless if the charges for running the red light are dropped, you were still driving under a suspended license.
Let's try an example...let's say you robbed a bank and then killed someone. If they dropped the robbery charges but put you on trial for murder, does it mean you didn't kill someone because they dropped the robbery charges?! ABSOLUTELY NOT! You still did both!
Sounds to me like whoever is dropping the red light charge for you is attempting to do you a favor. Just count your blessings they went that far to help you out, you were in fact driving with a suspended license. Perhaps next time you could just get a ride!

If the red light charge is dropped, it simply means that they aren't prosecuting that one not that it doesn't have merit. The exclusionary rule only applies if the original charge doesn't have merit or the discovery of a suspended license was obtained illegally. Apparently, the DA's office decided that the suspended license was more important than the red light.

beucase the reason you were pulled over was still legit, even though no conviction was given.

If I suspect someone is being hurt in a place of residence becuase i hear screaming and i enter fearing for somones saftey and it turns out to be something else (like role playing or something lol) and i find some drugs IN PLAIN VIEW i can cite them/arrest them for it.

The red light is an infraction, the license is a misdemeanor. The red light is meaningless as it is a lesser included offense.
