Well you see, i've been in my school plays, fame isnt the only thing i want, i just want to be an actor because i love to act. i just dont want it just to be like.. I WANT TO BE FAMOUS....no i just want to be famous, because i love to act?..idk..lol

Right now I would go for just acting and stick with that concept. Fame is not what you think it is... Fall in love with acting :-)
Take some classes, get into theatre... that's a great start. The usual way to go is to check Backstage.com and actorsaccess.com to see what auditions are in your area, but I just looked at backstage and there's nothing in Louisiana. Look in the newspaper wherever your local theatres are. If they have websites see if they list their audition info there.
Once you get a few credits and some training, you can try for an agent, but the closest ones to you on the SAG franchised list are in Florida. I hope you can travel...

hey there!
i have the same dreams.
what you need is faith,ambition, and love for the job, not just the glamour of it!
you need to love to entertain people, not just being famous!
try acting in your hometown theather, try to get in your high school plays, and then, if you want to become famous get an agent. agents do not cost, but SOME DO!
and then everything will fall into its place, try to get a lot of experiences, and maybe you can move to hollywood, but you must know what you are going into, be careful, and never never never never give up on your dreams!!!

I'd say to keep acting in school plays and if you have any type of community theaters in your area, audition for plays that they are doing. If they like you, they might ask you back for more shows and you'll at least get a local reputation and you will be building a resume. Break a leg!

The best advise i can give you is just go audition for a play then if you really enjoy it, go out and audition for a movie! Good luck in showbiz!

You can audition for plays at community theaters, through your school...if you work really hard at main parts, you may get recognized...

commericials and guest starring on little parts like a sick guy on house. then go to auditions
