the new ones are sexy , but yeah only the very small penis having old people trying to be cool can afford them . They dont hold thier value extremely well so you'll see the younger crowd with the older body styles . The c5 z06 is one of the best performance values available , and i am planning on getting one .

That is beacuse only the old fart guys can afford them, have you looked at the price tag of those cars. You think a 25 year old guy is ready for a 50,000 car? They are really expensive, but corvettes, are in they are just too expensive for most young people. How many young people do you know that can afford a car like a corvette.

I bought a new ZR1 in 1991, and I sold it 4 years later with just over 50K.
Now I see all kinds of 80's vettes for under 6000.00, how much cheaper do you want it to be???? It's not a Honda.
They will never go out of style at least not in the USA.
As far as old people driving them, they can finally afford it, and they did - are you jelous?
There is a guy in town probably 70 years old, drives hiz 06 every day, and he ran it at our 1/8 mile drag this year.

Vettes and Mustang's will never be out of style.
As for why you see older people driving them, can you drop the amount of cash that they cost for a 2 passenger car???
When I was younger, I wanted one. I had school costs and a part time job. Couldn't afford it. As I got older, I had more money and a house with a wife and kids. I went ahead and got one as a second car. It was unpractical but I had always wanted one and finally could afford it.
Now that the kids have grown, and the expenses aren't so bad, I could get another one. I have always admired how they performed and handled. Will I?? No, I don't think so,
But you asked why, and I thought I'd give you my view on it.

What a concept. A middle aged man in a sports car. It's called a mid-life crisis. He probably traded in his old wife for a younger model as well.
Don't blame the above on a 'vette. The current generation of Corvette is as good as the car has ever been.

I don't like them. They're tacky. If i'm paying 60k for a car, I don't want an interior full of plastic and rubber. Much rather have something European.

Nope, still in style, but awfully expensive, and the insurance rates are terrible.
