When I ask and read about the "best" vegas buffets, there are sooo many to choose from, so it's hard to say what the "best" is.

So now, I'm trying this a different way. Which buffets would you consider the WORST in Vegas? Please let me know so I can avoid these buffets. Price is not a factor, I just want good food, no matter the cost.

I have free passes for the buffet at Tropicana. Even though they are free, I don't want to waste my time eating there if the food isn't good. I'd rather pay to go somewhere with good food.

PLEASE HELP!!

Avoid the Circus Circus one ! I got free passes to eat there and we discovered the fried shrimp we were eating was not deveined. (that means they didn't clean out their intestines of the remaining feces) And when we asked to talk to the manager she said they buy them that way ,so I asked her ," you would eat these then?" and she said "no I wouldn't eat anything here". LOL! That is really bad when the manager of the buffet says she wouldn't eat at her own place.

To make a long story even longer, she brought out the head chef and continued to fight with us claiming that is how they eat it on the east coast. Bull hockey! We have asked many chefs from the east coast and they always devein their shrimp! Even on the food network which is taped in NY, they always say to clean and devein your shrimp.

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, so I will add that the buffet at the Imperial Palace is pretty bad. A group was meeting there, so I joined them. I tried probably 15 different things from the buffet. There were only 1 or 2 that I would have been happy about paying for from a regular menu. Then the next best item was the canned pears on the salad portion of the buffet.

I live in Las Vegas. I go to buffets all the time. The best buffet has to be the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa Buffet.I can't remember the name.....There is also the buffet in the New Orleans Casino. Who's name I also forgot. You could try the Palms. Or the Carnival Buffet at the Rio. The show a Carnival while you eat.If not there is a small resturant downtown called the Merkash. The seat you at small tables and you sit an pillows. Its Morracan very nice. They also have dancers. The Merekash is better then buffet.....

The worst buffet is at Circus Circus. I couldn't believe the breakfast buffet. I couldn't find anything even worth eating on it. Lunch was even worse because I think it made me sick. Another bad buffet is at Imperial Palace. The best buffet in town is at the Golden Nugget downtown. That is truly delicious. You can be sure if there is a long line and you have to wait it is good. I didn't have to wait at all to get in Circus Circus. Ummmmm. Now I know why. I will remember that little piece of my own advice.

The worst buffet is downtown, the Plaza..... just do not go there! The buffet tickets you have for the Tropicana are a hit and miss thing. I've lived here for 14yrs and the BEST I've found is at The Flamingo, wonderful decor and delightful food. During and after dinner you can watch the penguins and flamingos. It is my favorite place to go for birthdays and such.

I would avoid the buffets at all the Fremont area casinos(even though Fremont street is a fun place to hang out), circus circus as already mentioned (just avoid it altogether) and the Imperial Palace (even though they have great slurricanes)

Avoid the buffet at Terribles at all cost, the name says it all. It was the worst buffet ever. Sure it's cheap but it's soo bad it was comical. The food was barely there, there are only scraps and crumbs and everything looks eaten or leftovers. The watermelon was so dry that I felt I had to dunk it in my water to have some moisture. It was the worst buffet ever, avoid it!

Golden Nuggett had awful food. Not cooked and waited on an endless line. Not a good place.
