Of coarse we all know that despite the uncertainty of our fragile human lives, living more than just another day will most likely happen. But, I suppose it is necessary (for the sake of digesting this advice and answering the question) that if we were to all assume no tomorrow, that people would be more kind to one another. After all if you were to be left with a mere 24 hours of existence on this earth before vanishing never to return, what traces of yourself could live on except through the impact you create in other lives. I think we would all realize that the only thing worth anything in this life is how we interact with others.

It relates to me by coinciding with a base instinct to deal with the situations at hand. However, knowledge has taught me that base instincts are for non-human animals. Humans are able to plan ahead, to realize that certain goals take time and effort. Therefore, they exert that time and effort, probably knowing that the end-result is worth it all.
So, I live each day with the future in mind, hoping to act outside the realm of regret. I don't know if that future is there or not, but merely its possibility is enough to galvanize supporting events on my part. I build bridges for the "children of tomorrow" :D.

Hmm, there's something about the inherent sentimentality and romanticism to this kind of thing that puts me off.
Like, if you knew it was your last day on Earth you would swing in your underwear through the office on a vine made of mimeographs, kissing lustful secretaries.
Why not, "Pursue your goals every day", "Do the things you want to do", "Be courageous", "Work Hard, Play Hard", "Make yourself the person you want to be", "Be the change you wish to see in the world"?
Something more positive and proactive instead of only acting as you should because you remind yourself of your mortality.
Live each day as if it were the first day of your life and every day following would flower brighter and better till your last, that moment you could finally lay down and get some rest.

How about. Be content with yourself enough to live each day exactly as you wish to live it.
"as if it were your last" makes many think of "sky diving and rocky mountain climbing and 4.7 seconds on Fu Manchu."

Silly advice.
Moreover, dangerous so-called advice to the gullible too
To me it "relates" nothing; except a stupid gut-feeling
i suppose..
