i have just a general problem with jealousy, and it is a side of myself I hate. I feel jealous when two of my friends do something together without me, even tho I know it doesn't mean anything. If someone my boyfriend and I are both friends with texts him and not me, it bothers me. I even feel jealous of my younger brother at times! He is much more social than I, meets people easily, and I wish I could be like that. How can I stop being so jealous? I don't want it to start affecting my relationships

I was the same way. EXACT same way. I assume you are young.

Jealousy is bad, but its good in that it lets us know that we are unhappy with ourselves. You need to find some way to boost your self-esteem. I don't know exactly when or how I stopped being so jealous, I still am to a point...but I guess it just comes with age. You mature and you see things differently. Also, you need to speak out. Tell your brother that you want to be more like him, ask your friends why they don't invite you too. Why sit there and let everything boil inside? You're just creating anger and frusturation for yourself!

Speak up, boost your self esteem, and just put yourself out there.

It is a natural thing it is embedded in all of us. We all feel jealous at one time or other. The only way is to think positively. I am sure if you start thinking positively then definitely you will be less jealous of such incidences. Your friend or friends are not totally ignoring you. If that is the case then you have to think of changing your relationship or talk to that person in a very gentlemanly manner.
