What people seem to forget that when ruth, tedd williams, mays, dimaggio played the season was 154 games. That's 8 games less than the current 162 games. If you do the math a player who played 20 seasons in 1920's-30's-40's-50's played 160 games less than a player who played 20 season after the schedule was changed to 162 games. Just imagine Ruth could had put up another 40, 45 or maybe 50 more homeruns in his career. Anybody agress?

Yes, if their were 8 extra games Babe Ruth could hit over 760 home runs, but Bonds would still break the record, and so would Hank Aaron because he wouldn't retire until he broke the record.
