8 of the 18 Iraqi benchmarks have been made,
how come he didn't tell us which ones have been met?

Where can I find the list of the benchmarks Iraqi's
HAVE met and the ones they are still 'working' on?

Remember...
Just because Bush said it was so...
Does NOT make it the truth!

did he mention that the iraqi parliament is taking the entire month of august off as vacation - no likely.

there is exactly a zero percent chance that they will get anything done, so of course the white house gets out their spin doctors...

There's no way the Iraqi government can meet the benchmarks laid out for them by September. They already said so, they are taking the month of August off, they are new at this governemtn stuff and Americans expect them to move as fast as we do, and our governemtn can't get anything done either, nice job Congress by the way.

The 8 benchmarks they are talking about only showed signs of satisfactory progress. So far none have been totally met. It's not happening anyway.

Correction. 0 of the 18 benchmarks have been met. The way Bush spun that dismal failure (hmm... another dismal failure... what else is new?) was to state that progress had been made on 8 of the benchmarks. Progress had been made. How weak is that?

I think the final benchmark will have to be the surrender treaty that Osama will sign to end the war on terror. Fat chance of that happening ! Benchmarks are what homless bums with a spincter problem, leave on park benches ! Not something to kill or die for !

He never said they were made, he said they were making "satisfactory progress toward achieving them". None of the benchmarks have actually achieved as for yet.

Simply because that's not for you to know. I highly doubt you have the intel or credentials to understand which benchmarks were made and why, so what do you care. You people need to stop thinking everything is a conspiracy.

you probably could've found the benchmarks by doing a quick search in the ammount of time it took you to write this anti-bush rhetoric

If you say so. Maybe he figured you were bright enough to be able to figure that out for yourself. You're right, our President does make mistakes.
