The #1 reason they won't make the playoffs:
The wild card race will be tight at the end of the season (I'm guessing a 2 game or less difference between the wild card team and the runner up) and the Indians have to finish the season against the Royals. The Royals have become spoiler specialist, changing the playoff picture in the last series of the season the last 2 years - and it will happen again this year. The Royals sweep Cleveland the last 3 games of the season and they miss the wild card by 1 game.

The main reason would be if their bullpen falls apart. Along with the Angels, Mariners, and now the Yankees making a bid for their divisions and the Wild card spot. I still wouldn't count Minnisota out of this race either. They were 10 games back of Detroit last year at this time and went on to win the division. If the Indians pitching stays healthy and as productive as they have been in the first half, they will make the playoffs.

Those reasons are not good enough. The Indians WILL make it to the playoffs this season because they have the best record against teams in the AL central division and the best home record in baseball.
In 2005, the pitching was good but their offense was not good enough. They had the hardest time beating the White Sox that year and that was why they did not make it to the playoffs.

There isn't any reason as to why they are NOT going to make it. The question is, "How are they going to make it?" Are they going to win the division or the wild card? Chances are that it is going to be one of the two. The ONLY exception I see as to why the Indians don't make the playoffs is if the Tigers win the Central and the Mariners continue to get lucky and edge out the tribe in the wild card. Otherwise, the Indians are in there!

The playoff run speaks for itself. for people who consistently look to play the money card at us Yankee followers, it particularly is limitless crap! earnings spite of the shown fact that, they game enthusiasts inspite of the indisputable fact that should flow out on the sector and beat distinctive team. The Yankees have been approximately to purpose this via certainty 1995. it particularly is staggering. As a Yankee fan i'm satisfied with what they did and anticipate next season. They team will little question have some new faces in spite of the shown fact that the point will inspite of the indisputable fact that be to win, and that they are going to.

the biggest reason is that all of the AL teams fighting for the wild card spot seem to be a hot streaks right now. teams like the Yankees and twins were counted out at the beginning of the season, but now they are on fire and cant seem to lose any ball games. its going to be quite a race for a spot in the playoffs in the upcoming months.

if they don't it will be from some pitchers not pulling their weight, but I think they will make it at least as a wild card if not the AL Central division champ.
I think if Byrd and Wetbrook start doing better than we won't have to count on Fausto and CC to win every game. We also need to get runs sometimes for these pitchers.
I honestly thing the Tribe will make it.
GO INDIANS!!

I believe they will make the playoffs as division champ or as a wild card. If they do not make it, it will be because they come up short with starting pitching and/or an unexpected injury to a key player(s).

The only way they won't is if the Yankees get hot and win ten in a row and win the wild card while the red sox win the division.
