No, because their infrastructure is too dependent on the rest of the states. Remember, that more than half of the US was PURCHASED. So, leaving isn't an option. Every once in a while, some stupid group of legislators that should be voted out vote to suceed (I can not spell that word folks!) in one state or another. These debates are usually to provide a smokescreen for crap they are trying to push through.
As others have said, only Texas can legally leave because they joined as a sovereign nation.

only 1 state can and that's texas. But they never will. They are like the best Americans out there in terms of pride for their country. They are a very patroitic state.

I remember my history teacher saying that Texas still has a charter in which we could become a republic again if the Texas senate voted for it. Not sure about other states - they might have to change their state constitution.
