it could be fractured and something might have shown up on the xray but it was so small they didnt catch it. or you could have a sprain which you should get a brace for. i have sprained my tailbone (weird i know) and my neck before and when i sprained my tailbone it didnt show up on the xray at all but it was still sprained/bruised and i had to use crutches for a week. just because something isnt broken doesnt mean that something isnt wrong with it. so i would definetly tell your parents, have them take you to the doctor and explain the problem. he'll probably give you a brace for it. if it hurts like that then there probably is something wrong. i hope this helps and that your wrist feels better! :)

if no fracture(break) showed up on the x-ray then it is probably a severe sprain. Yes, a dislocation would have shown up on the x-ray. I would try RICE which is rest, ice, compression. and elevation
if after a few days your wrist is still swollen and painful then i would go back to the doctor and ask him to do an MRI or even a second x-ray just to be sure...

Sometimes when you "over-use" your wrist you can develop whats called tendonitis... This is just an inflammation of the tendons in the wrist, I've had it before and I took Aleve to reduce the inflammation and wrapping with an ace bandage helped alot...
I it does not get better in a couple of days you need to see your doctor, and ask him if it could be that.
Its definately not dislocated that would show up on xray.
Good luck!

It could be a deep contusion (fancy name for a deep bruise)
This wont show up on an Xray but it will hurt.
I hope its not too serious, take some Ibuprofen and try icing it and than switching to heat after a few days. If this doesn't work please go back to the doctors and get it checked out again (hopefully they will find something the second time around)

Katie plz never put ice on it
i guess that is really a contusion
so , for it to go away u should put some warm towel on it
so ur vessels will open to drain the blood away
+ the warm towel will help with the pain
and if it really hurts u can use cataflam or voltarin cream or ointment

Sounds like you need to see orthopedic doc. Carpal Tunnel syndrome maybe? Been on and off for 3 months, and CT will not show up in X-rays.

You more than likely have a deep sprain. Keep an Ice Pack on it for about 30 minutes and see if that helps at all.

Put some ice in a rag and set that on it for 10 minutes. Take a ibuprofen tablet... this will help with inflamation and make it heal faster.
