It would feel really soft, like a fluttering or even small bumping in your belly. If this is your first pregnancy you still might not be able to really tell for another week or two. Congratulations!!

I had a baby 7 months ago. When I was pregnant that was one of the first questions I asked "when will I feel my baby move"? I found out that my placenta was in the way so when the baby was moving I may not feel it until 20-21 weeks. I felt him move at about 20 weeks (I was also unsure if it was the baby, my imagination or gas at first too) . As the days/weeks went by the movements got stronger and I just knew for sure it was the baby! Don't worry the baby will move and you will know for sure, no questions asked. Some describe it as a "twitch" or like when you have gas and your stomach rumbles. Also my doc said if you are on the heavier side pre-pregnancy you may not feel the baby until 20+ weeks. Woman who have more than one child will feel the baby move before someone who is prego for the first time!
It is an incredible feeling and you will smile ear to ear when you feel it and know for sure it is the baby. At your next ultra sound asked where your placenta is laying and have them explain what that means. Good luck!!

You no doubt feel the kicking and somersaulting of your growing baby. At times, she may be so mobile that you can't sleep. The next ten weeks or so will be your baby's busiest and most active time, until the womb gets too crowded.
You're halfway there! The top of your uterus now reaches your belly button and will grow about a centimetre per week. The fetus measures around 6 inches/ 15 centimetres long from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces/ 240 grams.
She has started to swallow amniotic fluid, and her kidneys continue to make urine. Hair on the scalp is sprouting.
Sensory development reaches its peak this week. The nerve cells serving each of the senses -- taste, smell, hearing, seeing, and touch -- are now developing in their specialised areas of the brain. Nerve cell production slows down as existing nerve cells grow larger and make more complex connections.

At 19 weeks you should be able to start feeling some movement. The best way I was able to describe it when I was at that point was that it felt like Little butterfly's flapping around. Not the term butterflies as in nervousness, but an actual flapping sensation. Very light and feathery.

You are probably feeling the baby. It feels different to everyone. Soon the baby will start moving more and you will be able to identify the difference between the baby kicks and upset stomach. Congrats and good luck!!!!
FYI... usually the baby moves when you lay down to rest. Try laying in bed with no noise and try to relax, you will probably feel the baby start move.

Well, I was 19 weeks yesterday! This is my 3rd baby (over the span of 8 years) And I have been feeling some light fluttering but I think it depends on what you weigh (if your on the skinnier side, you probably can feel kicking sooner) and I think that if this is your first baby you can feel kicking sooner as well.
Congrats...

It is hard to tell this early especially if this is your first child. The early movements feel like bubbles or butterflys in your lower stomach....but if you tell your doctor that you have felt this the doctor will probably just tell you that you are having gas. In my opinion, each individual female knows what their body feels like when they have gas...so if you believe that you have felt the baby move then you probably have.

Each person is different. My movements never felt like flutters. I'm 20 weeks now and it feels like someone is poking me. At first I thought it was bad gas but then I quickly ruled that out.

fetal movements doesn't feel like anything close to an upset stomach. It should feel like something popping inside your tummy or twitches.
