Think hard...there's always something good during each decade. If you can't think of anything for 90s or 00s, then you should stop relying on what you hear in mainstream america (or europe) as your source.

idk but I do know about best band of each decade just based on popularity and how influential they were and how there still famous today...

60's: The Beatles/Jimi Hendrix/The Doors
70's: Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd/Elton John
80's: Guns N' Roses/Van Halen/Metallica
90's: Nirvana/Radiohead/Smashing Pumpkins
00's: My Chemical Romance/Blink 182/Arctic Monkeys

and so far thats how it is I know some of you may be saying mcr hell no lol there def. not my favorite band but however they are the only band to have gotten this big in this decade, this decade is ruled muscially by thugged out one-hit wonder rappers, and pretty in pink blonde bombshell popstars, so hardly ever a decent band that isnt emo/screamo or pop-punk come along that are actually in the mainstream so therefore they earned it. MCR ARE NOT EMO!!! and if they are there def. the best emo band in the mainstream lol...

And to the people saying RADIOHEAD for the 00's most of radioheads commercially successful albums and singles were all in the 90's, the only thing they had that was really successful in the 00's was Kid A, and plus whatever band is the 00's one has got to be something that teens grew up listening to from that decade lol I highly doubt most teens from this generation are going to say RADIOHEAD was there favorite band as a teenager when they grew up although it should be...lol

This is just off the top of my head and could quite possibly change if I put some thought into it, but for now... 60's = The Rolling Stones - Runner up = Cream 70's = KISS - Runner Up = either Aerosmith or AC/DC 80's = way too damn many to name (Poison, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, Metallica etc.) 90's = Don't know, can't really think of too many bands in the 90's that I liked. Most of them would be 70's and 80's bands that were still making records in 90's like KISS, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and the like. I can think of a few that came out in the early 90's that most people think are 80's bands such as Slaughter, Firehouse and stuff like that. Probably the best I can come up with would be Pantera, Type O Negative and Buck Cherry. 00's = I guess I'd have to go with bands like Black Label Society and Halford.
