When I was working at a gas station, there was this old man that would always come in to get smokes and we would always talk for a while about life and things. He left me a few pearls of wisdom!
One time were discussing money problems and he said to me "Money doesn't mean anything. Unless you dont' have any". I mean, really, truer words were never spoken!
And another time, we were discussing different places we lived and i was telling him how I didn't like living where I was because of the people around me and how they were all the same, no matter where you go. and he said "ya gotta be somwhere". So i settled down.

Rocky Dennis reads
[Poem] These things are good: ice cream and cake, a ride on a harley, seeing monkeys in the trees, the rain on my tongue, and the sun shining on my face. These things are a drag: dust in my hair, holes in my shoes, no money in my pocket, and the sun shining on my face.

"Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!" - Louis Tully (Ghostbusters)

In my town, we had three kinds of statues in our public places. One sort pointed up to the sky, as if to say, "Raise your sights to the heavens and dream." Another pointed to the ground as if to say, "This is the good earth from which we come and to which we return."
The third sort had hands extended straight out at eye level, as if to say "In my day, we piled it about so high..."
