First of all, make sure they are slender-regular size tampons. The smallest the better, til you get use to using them. Just relax!!!!!!! Take your time, dont force it. I guess the main thing is to relax, when you get nervous your muscles tighten and nothing is going in. You can do it, its real easy. Take your time, RELAX, and go for it.

Ok, first of all relax. You may be having problems for a number of reasons. Tampons are really easy to use and I'm going to go step by step on this with you.
1.) Wash hands.
2.) stand with one leg on edge of bath tub or toilet
3.) hold tampon in strong hand holding the part with the ridges between your middle finger and thumb and your index finger on the bottom where the string is. (right hand if you're right handed) and use the other hand to spread you labia.
4) insert tampon slowly. Pushing too fast will hurt. Be gentile and go at your own pace. You may have to move it around a little to work it in. It's a little tough now because you aren't on your period and you may be a little dry. It will be easier once you start to bleed.
5) You have to push it in until that part with the ridges (where your thumb and middle finger are) is at the vaginal opening.
6) Push a little bit on the plunger with your index finger. This pushes the tip of the tampon into you and it will grab onto the tissue. Don't push hard because it won't work.
7) now instead of pushing the bottom all the way in, pull the part that's inside out out.
8) You should have a successful tampon in you at this point. Wash hands again and enjoy your day.
If this doesn't help you... seriously invest in a menstrual cup. I own one and tampons just seem primitave. www.divacup.com

While sitting on the commode, insert the Tampon/Tampax by taking your time & relaxing your legs. It doesn't go straight up inside of you, it goes in, tipped back at angle. Read the directions that come with the Tampax/Tampons. (the Tampons are easier to insert because of the plastic instead of using the Tampax, which is cardboard. It takes just one finger to insert it. Once you have pushed it in place, the outter plastic, is removed. The string will hang down, making it easier to remove & insert another one. Take your time when inserting it & you'll be fine. It doesn't get pushed way up inside. You'll get a feel for how far to insert it. If the string is hanging down & you can feel it/touch it, then you have it in right. Just remember, when using Tampons/Tampax, change it often because of the risk of TSS. (toxic shock syndrome...it's explained in the directions)

Print out a diagram of you the female anatomy and then sit down with a hand mirror and compare it to your body. Identify all your parts. Remember the tampon does NOT go straight up into the vagina. It has to be angled toward the small of your back. The thing that might help is to buy OB brand tampons that have no applicator so that you use your finger to insert it. This way you can't help but insert it in the right angle.

Ok, it's almost 100 percent likely you are having trouble because you are tense- which is causing your muscles down there to tighten up. There are a couple of things you can do to improve this. It's best if you lie down and relax for insertion. Use some lubricant, like ky jelly or baby oil on the actual tampon itself. You shouldn't have to force it- is should slide in comfortably and not be painful. Once it's in place, you shouldn't even feel it.

Try using one of the smallest tampons that you can. It also helps if you change the position that you are standing in so that the tampon is lined up correctly to be put in. Also, try using the ones with the plastic applicators. They are not as rough as the cardboard ones and tend to slide easier. And, with the ones that have the plastic applicator, you could even put some water on it to help it slide as well.

First of all you dont need to wear tampons. You can use pads. Aren't tampons uncomfortable? When you go swimming you dont need to wear a pad or a tampon. Because the water actually stops the bleeding. Bring a bag with your beach things and stick a couple of pads in it. Or tampons. Try pushing far enough. I am going to Hershey today so I am doing the same thing. I am bringing my cousin's Miley, Noah, Brandi, Braison, Chris, and Trace. I hope my advice helped. Bye!

You may not be pushing it in far enough, If it's in right you shouldn't be able to feel it at all.
Don't try to put a tampon in if you're not menstruating. Especially if you never used one. It helps to be bleeding for it to go in properly because of lubrication.. If your vaginal walls are too dry there will be resistance and it will be hard to get it.
you may want to start out with smaller tampons until you get use to them.
ALSO: YOUR PERIOD DOES NOT STOP IN WATER
for some people the water pressure doesn't allow your flow to come out, but as soon as you get out of the water you'll have a geyser...for other people, like myself, they can bleed in water or on land.

First are you using a light (small) tampon? And you can also try using baby oil or k-y jelly. When I was younger I had the same problem. Also are you using a applicator if your not you need to, try buying the curved applicator while laying down on the floor.

If you are a virgin, then tampons are difficult. (At least they were for me.) Also, you are dry and it is getting stuck. KY jelly or Vaseline, something like that at the entrance-not too much.
Also, if you are tense, all your muscles tighten up-even there. You gotta relax.
Try a different kind with a different applicator, and/or a different size. If you are standing, try sitting (on the toilet), if you're sitting, try standing, if neither one works-lie on the bed. (Put a towel down!)
Live well, do good
