I am sure it happens, especially with rolls.

Well I hope not. Ask the people who work in the restaurant and for fun - see what they say. If the rolls are on the table I am sure they are touched by everyone and that is not good if served again. YUK!!

I've never seen it done and I worked in rest. biz for over 10 years. As a matter of fact I have seen enough untouched food to feed an entire country thrown away.

It not only happens with rolls, do be careful of going to a mexican resturant and eating the sauce that comes with the chips. I worked in one where they saved the sauce,and chips that had not been eaten. I tell everybody about them..

Well glad to read they don't do it at Outback Steak Houses at least, because it is one of my favorite places to eat.

As far as the Mexican restruants you ever notice there are no stray cats or dogs hanging around ! Makes you wonder doesn't it !

not where i work at (Outback Steakhouse). I make sure my customers have fresh bread that comes right out of the oven.

We didn't at the restaurant I worked at. (Logan's Roadhouse)... and rolls are what we're famous for. I don't think anyone would do that... but the other answerers beg to differ.

They don't save mine as I always tear the roll in half to ensure that they don't feed mine to an unsuspecting constumer !

They all get thrown away.... trust me it makes me sick seeing how much food goes to waste in a restaurant.

yes, I have worked in several restrants and the bottom line is their food cost. After all it is a business.
