This is a depends question. (and no not the adult diaper depends, LOL)

It really depends on the person and if they are the type to only dish out the nice talk when wanting something
OR
if the person is just genuinely nice and likes to dole out compliments.

I've been in the entertainment industry all or most of my life. One thing that really bugs me is when I'm try'in to mind my own business and people come to me witha ll those compliments and don't know when to back off. I'm basically shy at heart and easily imbarassed so I take short compliments nicely and long ones agravate me sometimes.

I almost always believe them. I've just found in my life that looking for the positive in people is rewarded ten-fold.
Now, with some, you do need to be careful. lol. The "watch out" clan does have it's home in this world!

It depends. I get alot of compliments on clothes that it seems like I wear all the time, so I wonder if they are saying it for the lack of anything else to talk about.

i usually believe them...if i don't it's not because i think they have ulterior motives, i think they just don't know me well and don't realize all of my obvious flaws that should prevent them from complimenting me :)

Always looking for reasons why, I'm always suspicious, i cant trust one bit.
Someone said something yesterday that blew my mind, and made my brain mush, but today I'm thinking, did he mean it or is he after something?

In the back of my mind I'm always wondering...as much as I want to trust people..that nagging little voice is always doing the "what if..." game...

If it's a person that never says anything nice, I usually ask them "what do you want"? LoL
