Ryan Howard would be first on the list...
Pujols might have an outside shot. Maybe if Prince Fielder can hit like this every year and stay healthy...who knows.
After that, there are not many out there. A player, in this day, would have to average 35 HR's a year, for 20 years, just to reach 700. It's hard enough with free agency and bigger ballparks for someone to come close after Howard and the current group is gone...but I am sure one day we will hear about someone else.

Pujols, he has been so consistent through his first six years and Howard will not have enough time left in his career due to him coming into the league at a later age. Pujols in his career is at 270 HR and Howard is at 107 HR, they are both 27 years old.
If Pujols averages 42 HR for the next 13 years (age 40) then he will be right at 800 HR.
If Howard averages 50 HR for the next 13 years (age 40) then he will only be at 750 HR.
Pujols is the only one that will keep up with Bonds and A-Rod.

The next best bet would be Albert Pujols who has averaged 40 homeruns per season during his first six years in MLB. A 20 year career while maintaining that average would give him 800 home runs. Pujols is 27 years old now and would have to go to age 41 to have a chance, but I think he can do it. Keep in mind that Ryan Howard got a late start and he and Pujols are the same age, but Pujols has about 170 more homeruns at this point in time.

A-rod will at last decelerate...he has taken adequate positioned on and tear in his physique i don't think of he will shop this up for yet another 7-8 years to realize the checklist pujols no...i think of he's starting to be greater of a hitter who hits for regularly occurring than capability...his capability is executed lots this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days yet he nevertheless gets the pastime performed Ryan howard is only too previous...regrettably he all started his profession extremely previous due...hes like what 28 years previous now and he only hit his a hundredth homerun the different...the quickest ever by ability of taking just some video games yet he's not that youthful...he needs to maintain this %. up for yet another 12-15 years to get the all-time checklist...i don't see that occuring...he replaced into caught at the back of Jim Thome in philly for a pair of years...that injury him Griffey easily has a great gamble then there is manny ramirez, gary sheffield, and vlad guerrero

Ryan Howard definitely has a chance, but I don't think he has enough time left in his career. Prince Fielder, eh. I think Ol' Albert has a chance depending on if he stays healthy and gets out of his slumps he has every once in a while. I love Vlad but don't think he has any real chance. All in all we will have to wait about five more seasons to really be sure.

Pujols, Howard - if they stay healthy and productive. There could even be more guys in the future who will break it. Players are stronger these days so I'll think we'll see more and more hitters coming up who can hit 40-45 home runs a year.

Ryan Howard will get close, but his age will hurt. He's 27 or 28 now. Give him ten more years of 50 HR's/season, that will still leave him short.

Ryan Howard startred too late, and Pujols... I dont see it. Go with someone who has shown nothing but consistance since day one of his MLB Debut: young and and only getting better, Miguel Cabrera. Not saying he *will*, but hes got the best chance of ANYONE.
