Check the Sunday fliers for Walmart, Circuit City, Best Buy, and the office supply stores.

Why a laptop? A small desktop will work just as well and be significantly cheaper. If it is only going to be running the TV, then you do not need to pay for the size and portability of the laptop. Also it will be a lot easier to get a video card that will drive the TV the best it can that will fit into a desktop system. The laptop you are stuck with a VGA connector and whatever crippled version of a video chipset is in there.

COSTCO, the American based company wharehouse.
It is a membership company but the discounts more than make up for any upfront costs.

Only thing, they don't do all the deals all the time.

i just bought a 42 inch lcd hdtv from a new company called vizio and i love the picture is awesome i found it at walmart my brother and father have samsungs and my picture is just as good for a lot less money
