How much are you paying for the electricity?

In suspend a PC should be down to about 10 watts, so, 1kWh gives you 100 hours of operation - about 4 days. A year is going to be about 85 kWh. So at 10 cents per kWh that would be about $8.50

Put it in hibernate and it will use the same as if it was off.
