The prejudices we face here in America is almost non existent in other Countries. It's a shame what we go through here, when other places just simply accept us for who we are. To make long story short.....You'll be embraced with open arms. (My Father's Parents are from Spain).
Enjoy your holiday. :)

I heard that it depends where you are in Spain. If your in a big city people are used to seeing all different kinds of people but in small towns they a little less welcoming, especially if you look North African, Middle Eastern, or Muslim.

I have been there and the people are really kind. I am English though so I do not really know how they would treat you. Good luck though, Spain's a great place!

At your age, and as a tourist, you shouldn't encounter more than a tickle of Spanish racism, especially in the cities. It's swell that you are going. An adult is going with you, yes? I would not advice a young woman of 15 to travel in Europe...or anywhere...alone. Enjoy!

I've visited Barcelona, Palma De Malorca, and Rota Spain. They're not hung up on "Blackness." Just don't present yourself as an "ugly American." Meaning don't do anything that would embarass yourself or America.

I've never been, but I've met people from spain who treated me respectfully. There obviously are some racist people there (at soccer matches they make monkey noises at black players), but of course there are racist people everywhere. The reality is you'll meet good people in Spain, so go and have fun.
