ok, so my period is 2 months late and I am wondering why. I did pregnancy tests (blood and urine) and they came back negative so I know it's not because I'm pregnant. Has anyone had this happen and if so, what was the reason. I'm just asking so I can go to the doctor's with some questions. They don't usually seem very helpful nowadays. They just say don't worry and maybe prescribe some pill. Oh and I'm 28 so it's not because I'm young. My periods are normally very regular and never this late.

I am 38 and going through early menopuse. My mother had her periods stop for good when she was 34. My last period was one drop of blood about 3 months ago. May be go to your doctors and get a hormone level check which is a blood test and it will give you an idea if you are experienceing this. But my doctor said if you do nto have a period ofr 12 months or more it is more than likely early menopause. It can happen to women under 40 you know. It is not abnormal

It is best you see your OB/GYN for this. It could be a factor in a number of things. Even if you are pregnant and you do not experience any symptoms, your doctor can run a beta quantitative HCG to see what the level is; if it is high, good chance of pregnancy. Tests don't always pick up a pregnancy, I had an aunt who was 4 months along before a test showed up positive for her, so we jokingly tell her that she had a baby when she was 5 months pregnant.

I am not sure what the real reason is but it could be because of stress or change of eating habits. I know with the heat I eat alot less and it effects me. Harmones can change due to new medicines etc as well.
Some times the body does weird things with a reason and goes back to normal in time and i hope in your case it is nothing. But it is a good question

If you have changed things in your daily life that could be a factor. If you have lost or gained weight that may be it also. That happened to me, I had gained weight and got off of the pill and my periods stopped. But of course everyone is different, you might want to get a second opinion from a different doctor.

Just tossing a couple of ideas. Hormonal imbalance maybe. Also ask them to check for symptoms for PCOD. Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease. Also, if you have some extra stress that can make you skip as well. Hope everything works out for ya.

I have 2 monthes between my periods too. Don't worry your not pregnant. Its just because you don't eat alot. It doesn't mean your anerexic or anything, but usually you just have tons of snacks instead of 3 whole meals.

Lots of things could cause you to be late. Stress, illness, hormone imbalance. Just go to the doctor and don't let him get to you.
