Heck yeah it's got a lot to do with it. My two sisters have D cups and my Mother is a DD. I'm a B and let me tell you I always have to hear them complain about how much their backs hurt and how much their shoulders hurt from the weight in their bras. Did you know that with D cup breasts, each breast could weigh about 15 pounds? Try carrying two turkeys on your chest and see how much strain that puts on you. All that weight pulls you forward thanks to gravity and you have to use the muscles in your lower back just to keep from falling forward. After a long day of standing and walking, your back will be screaming. I'll keep my B cups, thanks.

Yes it can most definetely cause back, neck and shoulder pain. When I was her age I was a 32E cup so I understand how she feels- I only recently had a breast reduction, at age 21 and with 34G breasts and I can honestly tell you that I was not aware of the damage they were causing to my back. Yet now since my op I can stand up straight, shoulders back and not even be aware of my breasts anymore
Your girlfriend may be the same as many of us in that it is actually phsyically impossible to stand erect and hold your shoulders back with that much weight on your chest. Of course a reduction would probably be more recommended when she is older but it is worth her considering her options, speaking with her family and meeting with a Plastic Surgeon

Big breasts can def. cause back problems. Just think about how much extra weight your back has to hold up. I had a gf in high school with very large breasts and she had a breast reduction soon after we graduated because her back hurt so much.

It is ENTIRELY possible to have back, neck, shoulder, respiratory, and chest (pectoral/muscle) problems from breasts that are too large. Just because YOU have never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Breast reduction surgery is usually the only method of relief for women who suffer from this problem.

It can be very uncomfortable to have large breasts & they most definitely can cause back pain. Your girlfriend would have to get her parents approval for any type of surgery to reduce them. This is certainly a possibility for her.

That is definately possible. many women with large breasts have back pain. It is the main reason for breast reduction surgery.

Most definitely, large breasts can cause back problems. The weight of them causes your friend to have to exert back muscles to sit up straighter, then the muscles in the back begin hurting. I know it can't be easy for her when she sits down, she has to push herself to keep her back on the chair she is sitting in. Good luck.

yes - my sister has bad neck/back issues from this. Some insurance companies will even pay for the reduction because it is not considered cosmetic if it is causing harm. Poor thing- so young to have such big boobs. I feel for her!
