It was foggy out for the beautiful summer season, 8:10am, early morning, summer school started, Marissa A. arrived at school 2 minutes late to the bell, wearing a green sweater, blue jeans and oddly, carrying a black umbrella, her eyes were red and she looked like she had been upset. However, Marissa didn't say anythign but sat down obediently taking a short pop quiz, when the teacher did the attendance, she simply raised her hand and went back to work. At 10:10 they took a small break in which the kids could wonder around the school and buy something from the vending machine. When the bell rang back for class, 10:25, Marissa never returned, thinking that she was running 'late' they didn't think anything of it until 10:40 when Marissa still wasn't in class. Yeah, I don't believe in ghosts but a well written horror story of any type can give me the creeps.

Marissa had her own cell phone? I love stories like the one you posted. I've heard many variations and they are still chilling. Especially if I hear one or read one at night. It's 2:45 P.M. right now. Phew.

Let me ask you this....was she a good student? Did she love school? Did she have a lot of friends or anyone special in that class? It's been said that if we die suddenly and unexpectedly and aren't quite ready to go, our spirit can come back for a short time in human form. It's a way to say good bye to something or someone.By her not returning after the break, my guess is she'd said her final good byes.

It was okay but not very original, I know a lot of stories with that same ending, the person always was dead the whole time.

Well I have heard of this type thing before, but until it is actually documented, it can be nothing but a story.
