if youre only one month along, what would be the symptoms of a miscarriage? also, if you miscarried only 1 month into the pregnancy, would you have to go to the doctor after it happened or not?

i know further into the pregnancy that you would have to have any tissue removed, but at only a month is there even anything to really remove that would entail surgery?

The biggest sign is cramping AND bleeding together. I have had 4 miscarriages (early as 9 weeks and as late as 13 weeks). Only saw Dr after on one of them but I did call of course each time and was told that as long as I felt I passed everything to just watch for fever or bad odor or increased bleeding and call IMMEDIATELY if that happens but otherwise just take it easy a couple days. I hope everything works out okay for you and if you did in fact suffer a miscarriage....Im sorry :(

My Dr. told me that if I am spotting-but no cramps, it is normal. Also if you are cramping-but no spotting, it is normal. In either event, I would discuss it with my Dr. or nurse practitioner.

However- if you are both spotting and cramping- call your Doctor right away! Another sign is a lack/or loss of pregnancy symptoms-no fatigue, no morning sickness, no breast tenderness, etc. during the first trimester.

If you think that you have already miscarried, you should still make an appointment to be seen, for a few reasons-
1.Confirm the pregnancy/Confirm the loss
2.Possibly determine the cause-they can check for genetic causes.
3.Make sure that everything has passed, to prevent possible hemorrhaging.

My sister "lost" a twin baby and continued the pregnancy of the other- Now my 21 year old nephew!

I had no pregnancy symptoms, other than no period, with the baby that I miscarried and with my son who I carried to term!

Yet with my daughter- I had all the classics!

No two pregnancy or miscarries are alike- they have their own nuances...

So my point is- at least put a call into a clinic, Dr. or nurse practitioner- and stop the worry and guessing game- it may put your mind at ease. Good Luck!

I don't know the signs of a miscarrage...but..I did freak out all during my first trimester about miscarrying. You probably have nothing to worry about. Just make sure you go to your doctor regularly and if something does change, you need to call your doctor and let them know. Pregnancy is a time of unsureness, and you will have a billion and 1 questions because it seems like every couple of days something "new" enters your world of pregnancy. Just remember to keep calm and keep the doctor informed of anything different. That is the best for you and baby :)

Any bleeding or spotting of blood must be taken seriously. If it is a misscarage you will have to have a currett. That means surguery to remove any left tissue, because it can cause infection. But look out for any bleeding. If it is heavy call an ambulance straight away. If you are experinceing any bleeding do something now and get of the computor every second is precous

Severe cramping and a lot of blood. Doesn't matter at what part in your pregnancy you miscarry, you MUST go to the doctor to get checked out. None of it is surgery but they must go in and check to make sure nothing is left in there.

bloody discharge or spotting, cramps.
Of course yes, they test every product of miscarriage to see any chromosomal abnormality, that's a predictor of what will happen in future pregnancies

You would have bleeding possibly with clots in it & cramping. Yes, you would still need to contact your doc. because there could still be some tissue from the embryo in your uterus.
