Nothing from them would surprise me anymore . So I won't be surprised if they do , but I think the vote count will change in favor of support for this war . BTW , the Top Secret briefings were designed to allow Senators and Congressmen to hear some things they do not know , and to allow them to ask questions . Initial reports estimated that maybe only 200 were in attendance , but now they're saying that the number is more like 86 !!
I'm gonna check and see if my representatives attended . . . . will you ?
Wanna friendly bet ? Mark this question in preparation for the next withdrawal proposal , and we'll see which way the next vote goes !!

Al Cracka and other Dems on here have exposed the very basis of their flawed 'thinking' .
How in the world can any communication take place(and you dems have been calling for that) , if every time we try to communicate the Dems attribute it to biased propaganda ? <<< Read that again . You dems are personally responsible for this problem . Nothing anyone says to you can even possibly be REAL . You have made your bed , now go sleep in that disgusting rat-infested hell .

I admit the 'rat infested hell' comment was harsh . Maybe too harsh . But what honest man or woman can deny that no matter what the dems hear from a Republican , our President , the Pentagon , or our military commanders is thought of as propaganda and biased ?? The dems have lost all rationale and thereby closed their eyes , ears , and minds to anything other than what a dem says . That is wrong . That is dangerous . And if that applies to you , then so be it .

They would do it, if they think they might be losing in the polls, for re-election power to the White House, and Congress, but not because they want to win it, or save soldiers, as they claim. Democrat's have no intention of pulling out of Iraq. They are pretending to, for the power, through the people, of the government. It's been 7 years since they totally controlled all factions of government, and they had controlled it for 40 years, previously. I can't believe the stupidity, and that is what it is, blind stupidity of Liberals, to buy into these lies by the Democratic Congressmen they recently elected! JFC! They don't want a withdrawl from Iraq, they want an amnesty bill for illegals against 98% of Americans who said NO, we don't want illegals here! LIBERALS, war makes MONEY, and that is the reason Democrats want this war. Bush made a promise to fight against terrorism, and after 9/11, you all claimed to want that, too. Well, he's doing that, and asked for patience from you. Our men and women of our military are doing the hard work, and YOU Liberals can't even give them a little patience, or A LOT of love. I am disgusted by Liberals. I will NOT allow them to turn our country upside down, with a twist to the left, like they did in Vietnam! F-UM!

Racial and homophobic slurs and/or the threat of violence will never win the day on this or any other matter of public policy. This is not an acceptable means of protest but, more importantly, it is never an effective means of protest. The only protest that is ever effective is presenting a better idea and finding the means of getting that better idea implemented. There are always people who look for the cheap and easy way out of a mess. But there are none. You really do have to work your way out of a mess with diligence and persistence and a tremendous amount of hard work. These protesters embody none of those characteristics and their tactics will not succeed today or in November. What's worse is the un-American sentiments that these tactics reveal. Most Americans are not racist or sexist or homophobic and it makes the task of convincing fiscally-focused Americans to become part of a movement that much harder if it looks and sounds intolerant of the civil rights of other Americans. President Obama and the Democratically-controlled Congress won this battle for better or worse. I happen to think it's for worse. More importantly, I hope that people who feel this way make the elections in November a referendum on health care, the national debt, balanced budgets and global economic competitiveness. Democratic House Whip James Clyburn is free to view the health care vote in political terms as opposed to financial and economic ones. I don't, and I'm looking forward to refuting the Democratic party's point of view on this and other fundamentally important matters fairly and squarely in November. Take care until then.

You may have disagreed with me on my last statement but I do promise you that by this afternoon 95% of Congressmen will know exactly what went on in that meeting.
As far as the vote.. it's impossible to do anything more than speculate without knowing what they are actually talking about.. But I think it would take some pretty convincing info to convince many of them to change their votes. But I still trust my Congressmen to make the right decision.. it's the Bush Administration that has burned all credibility with me. In other words.. if my Congressman changed his vote I would know it was for a damn good reason. But considering Prior (my Senator) is the Dem that voted against the withdrawal plan because he doesn't feel it should be public knowledge I really can't fathom anything that would change his stance.

Couple of quick things. First, this briefing is by the Pentagon and not the White House. Bush has no control of what the military says. Second, even when presented with the facts, the liberal democrats will find a way to make good news bad and continue to push for things that weaken the US and make Bush look bad. Remember, if it does not fit their agenda, the democrats will do whatever it takes to misrepresent the fact.

The dems hinge their hopes of an 08 political victory on our being defeated in Iraq, they will do anything possible to insure defeat.
The truth does not matter, only the White House matters.

No way. Behind closed doors, most of them are in favor of the war. The war was started with the intention to be there for like 20 years. They are LYING TO YOU. (gee imagine that, the government lying?)

Yes
They don't want a victory in Iraq. If there was a victory they know the polls will swing against them.
Their main concern and most important task is to have our military fail to make Bush look bad.

My guess is there will be less than 100 Democrats at the briefing, their mind is made up, they will do anything to get re-elected including destroying this country.
