Because it is never EVER _EVER_ your fault for anything nowadays. If you're an idiot and trip and break your leg, then it's the COUNCIL'S fault for not keeping up the repair of the pavement to 100% level. If you're fat it's not your fault for being greedy and lazy, it's the government's fault for not forcing you to eat healthily, or supermarket's fault for making the packaging too appealing.

Teachers are all too often at fault when they shouldn't be. More people pass GCSEs? Well it couldn't POSSIBLY be that teaching methods have improved - it's the exams getting easier!

Though I think it SHOULD be schools jobs to transform ignorance!

it is the legacy of this generation. thank the baby boomers and their kids. they have passed a liberal agenda on to the next generation. this "i am the star, you are an extra" generation has evolved into a narcicistic, self involved group.
parents have every excuse in the world to no accept the blame for their shortcomings. being their childs friend, understanding talks, feelgood moments while all the time their child is learning to be the center of attention at the expense of everybody else around them. beat your kids, they will learn something.

It's called transfering the responsibility. All the parents want to do is get on with their lives,the children are the responsibility of their educators.
