i have ad-aware 2007 pro and AVG free do i need a firewall?

Oh yeah, is Spybot search & destroy better than ad-aware 2007 pro

yes you do
get zone alarm free
avg = anti virus
adaware = anti spyware
u might as well get spybot search & destroy as well as zonealarm from here >

If your ad-aware comes with ad-watch then you could turn
ad-watch on. But it's not as powerful as a firewall. It only blocks
cookies, registry modifications, malware, spyware, and some
pop ups. Try the ZoneAlarm firewall 6.0 it's free and works
perfectly. I would have avast! Professional installed, spybot
search and destroy, ad-aware pro as well.

AVG is designed to detect, prevent and remove viruses.
Ad-Aware is desgined to remove spyware.
Firewalls are designed to prevent hackers for breaking into your PC.
Neither AVG or Ad-Aware perform the function of a Firewall. Neither of them will protect your computer from hackers.

i would recommend a dedicated firewall. this would increase the security of your computer from the experts of the field. try out outpost firewall or zonealarm firewall
