No, it's not unusual. Some people are just late bloomers. You can start your period anywhere from 11-16. Some people start it even later (although that would be unusual).
No, you're perfectly fine. And your period can be a big pain in the neck 'cuz it can get in the way of your activities and everything. Consider yourself lucky :)

Don't worry about it! I am the oldest of 5 kids - 4 of them girls and we all started at different ages. One was as young as 12, but one was 16. My grandmother was 18! (Don't ask why I know that). you should start soon =but don't be disappointed =the usual age is 12 to 18 so =just enjoy the freedom you have for the summer and it will appear out of nowhere when your body is ready for it to start

I was 13 when i started my periods, but it just depends on how quickly you develop, one of my friends was 16. Think yourself lucky, periods are a pain! lol :p

yeah me 2 im 13 and havent started no theres nothing wrng with u! but if you havent started whe ur 16 then theres somethinng wrong with you!

it doesn't hurt at all, accept for you do get some cramps on and off at times. it doesnt really feel like anything, don't worry about it. it just comes out for a few days, and thats it.
