Katie is the QUINTESSENTIAL liberal. Results and reality don't matter, just that you "tried." LOL

But katie dear, you seem to be equating intentions with results. Intentions are absolutely meaningless unless coupled with tangible results that work. "Well honey, I wanted to get you that diamond ring for your birthday, but here's an oven mit." LOL

Don't get me wrong folks, I absolutely LOVE government gridlock. It means that very special time when the government isn't conspiring with each other ("bipartisanship") to bend us all over and extract whatever they wish from us.

Thanks for the great questions, I have been enjoying them.
This is the worst Congress ever. It does have Republicans in it, but it is now under the "power and control" of the red army, the pelosi socialists. And that is the reason it is getting terrible marks from AMerica, they reject socialism and all of its inherent evils.
You must consider also that the Dems in Congress have almost 20 years in office, considerably more than the repubs, and so nothing is going to change. If you are truly sick of Congress regardless of party, get rid of the socialists and then get rid of those with more than 12 years in office. Do this for three to four cycles and you might have a congress that once again represent us, we the people.
In fact, if you are a Democrat and you continue to vote for the socialists and the jerks who have been in office for 20 years, you should have no say in the debate, you are part of the problem.
I have for the last eight years voted for the new guy, if the old guy had been in office for more than 12 years regardless of party, I am trying to be part of the solution in Congress.

inner maximum Deek, Please attempt to place your partisan politics aside for basically a minute and sweetness why no longer something is being completed interior the U. S. Congress? Is it for loss of attempting? The Democrats have a narrow majority in the two the domicile and the Senate, yet what are they doing? Are our Congress adult men and girls folk in simple terms sitting there idly all day or are they attempting to bypass law? And whilst they finally build a invoice, is it exceeded or defeated alongside occasion lines? The objective of the Bush administration and the Republicans in Congress is to make this Congress seem as though they have not carried out something. As i'm particular you realize, the Democrats in simple terms have not got the numbers to bypass any style of law it particularly is quite "veto information." i understand, i understand, "blame the minority" as you have suggested, yet for that reason the Republicans are the minority and the problem. while you at the instant are not area of the answer then you definitely're area of the problem. while you're bored to death, touch your Congressman/woman and tell them to offer up their obstructionistic strategies and the two lead, shop on with or get out of ways!

This is the worst congress ever, but not because of the Democrats or Republicans, but because of these out-of-touch politicians. The real problem is that many of the Democrats in congress aren't really representing Democrats, and many of the Republicans aren't representing Republicans.
Americans need to pay attention to what their congressmen are doing. If they're not voting the way you want them to then don't let them get away with it by not voting!
But you have to be scared when the majority leader of the Senate doesn't even know the rules of the senate:
"...every time we asked to have a vote on this amendment, Republicans said no, no, no, you need to get 60 votes"
Ummm... No, actually, that's a SENATE rule. He's blaming the Republicans for... you know... FOLLOWING the CONSTITUTION!!!
What an utter fool.

Considering that this congress has attempted to undo the tax cuts that are aimed at helping Americans keep more of their money &;
Considering that this congress sees it's priority as shoving a "hate crimes" law down the throats of the American public &;
Considering that this congress is determined to paint the liberation of Iraq as a defeat & give solace to our enemies then;
Yes. The only thing we can conclude is that this is the worst, most liberally-biased, socialist, unAmerican congress, ever.

The democrats have a big problem. To gain the house majority, many democrats ran as more conservative that the republicans they were running against. Now, these guys like being congressmen and are very reluctant to go against the will of their constituents. Don't be surprised if many of them switch parties if the Republicans win the house back.
The Democrats made all kinds of wild promises to gain back control of congress while fully realizing that unless they had a veto proof majority, they could not even begin to keep those promises. That doesn't matter, though. They never intended to keep them anyway. They just want to keep fooling their radical left wing base that they would if they only could.
So the game progresses.

It is by far one of the worst we have ever had, next to Truman's Congress. This Congress is a great example of what happens when the American people play games and vote for one politician because they belong to a certain party, when they are probably the worst candidate in the race.

Since Congress is made up of about 49% Republicans, I guess you are including them as well.
And no, I really don't think they are any worse than any other
Congress. They are all bought and sold to the largest contributers.
