Go to the local coin car wash and see if they have a heavy duty vacuum. Clean out everything you can. The car wash I use has a coin-operated upholstery cleaner, too.
To really get at this spot, though, you might have to remove the seats. They are usually bolted to the floor of the car. If you don't feel comfortable removing them, then take the car to an auto detailing shop. They can clean the interior for you professionally.

Here's an inexpensive and fragrance free solution that really works fantastic. - I found the perfect product for this. It is a natural fragrance free carbon product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great and eliminates the odors and for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, pets, etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just put a couple in your car and trunk. Each only costs a couple of dollars. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it and Internet at customerservice@innofresh.com.
Definitely worth trying

Here's an easy , fast, and permanent solution.
Use a "pet urine/stain/odor" remover to nullify the residue.
There are enzymes in this type of liquid product that will eliminate the source of the odor, rather than trying all these other suggestions that are costly or time consuming.
Either your grocery [near the carpet cleaning or pet supply products] or the nearest "PetsMart" stock this item.
$10 bucks or less.
Soak the area and as it dries the enzymes will work their magic.
Rarely have I ever had to use a second application.
This is the same type of product that any professional uses, whether it be an auto detailer, carpet cleaner , or crime scene
cleaner.
Good Luck.

Automobile Carpet Freshener
To freshen the carpet in your car, and deodorize, sprinkle the carpet with either commercial carpet deodorizer or baking soda. Let set for 30 minutes, then vacuum. This should leave your car smelling clean and fresh.:)

Homemade odor remover that I use for urine removal...to me old beans and urine smell the same....NASTY !
Mix 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 teaspoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of baking soda in your favorite spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the area of the odor and let dry. Vacuum up the leftover baking soda. This works great on pet urine and vomit. The hydrogen peroxide kills any odor causing bacteria and the baking soda soaks up any other odors like the ammonia smell left from urine. Hydrogen peroxide can fade some fabrics so test first.

Warm water and natural soap. If you can remove the carpet , this would be a big help. You could pop into your local garage, They might help you to clean it or tell you the best thing to use. But as I said if you can remove it , Then wash with natural soap, rinse well, if you have a garden hose, even better. Hang in the sun to dry

Do any or all of the above recommended things...then, check your owner's manual to see if your car has a cabin air filter and where it is located.( most late model vehicles have them ). Replacing this filter will give your car's interior a fresh start once you've cleaned the carpet.

I would just pay the $50 or $60 to get the car detailed. They have powerful cleaners and deodorizers that can eliminate that smell for you. Good Luck!

Febreeze works well. Had a bottle of whisky break in the car (darn speed humps anyway) and Febreeze got rid of the residual smell once the main mess had been cleaned up.
