firstly go to the toilet.....you're wife is not goona thank you if your bladder physically bursts.......then either go to bed or chuck some coffe down your throat WHEN your wife does go into labor, she can always wake you up.
....and get some cream on those emmas for gods sake!!!.....

wow, that is interesting (not in the really interesting way) if any of that is true, then you might want to go to sleep, as soon as the wife's in labor, she'll be super-mad if you try to nap during the birth of your child. and spending 4 hours on Y!A is a pretty good indication that you need to STOP for a while.

i suggest you go to the bathroom (your wife will be fine for just a minute or two), splash some freezing cold water on your face, then go back and hold your wife's hand. Trust me, you would hate yourself if you fell asleep when your wife was having your baby. if your wife is not having the baby right this second, then you could sleep for a little while.

Probably a good strong cup of coffee would keep you awake long enough to answer a few more questions. That's the important part, right?

try to stay up for your childs birth then go and get some rest. if you fall asleep before the birth, try to get someone to video it for you. the birth of a child is one of life's miracles and is a terrible thing to miss. dont feel bad if you go to sleep. people have to have it. good luck.
