We have left out even the available bowlers like Pathan,Munaf,Chawla and even Agarkar also, and failed to mould bowlers like Balaji,Murali Karthik etc..
We have not even made most of the available talent.

This is true that after Kapil Dev & Srinath BCCI failed to produce the quality bowlers. Actually, what lacks here is Management and planning. See Australia, they are on the top of the cricket world because they plan accordinlgy that. They had won the matches without Mcgrath, Lee and Shane Warne. Now India have some emerging young bowlers like Sreesanth, Irfan pathan, RP singh and Piyush Chawla. If BCCI put effort to groom them then they can be the match winning bowlers for us. But not only BCCI but players also have to feel their responsibility as they are representing the country. They have to work hard to reach that world class fast bowling. Piyush chawla had already shown his talent but only one or two series are not the end of this performance. There should be consistency in that performance. So all this depends a lot on the BCCI and player themselves. Either they can take Indian Cricket to the No.1 Position or downwards.

I agree with you completely. You are absolutely right. Though we have talented fast bowlers like SreeSanth, Munaf, RP Singh, they are either are injury prone or they are not consistent. I would also like to correct you, though Srinath was genuine fast bowler I dont think Kapil Dev was a genuine fast bowler he was more of Medium Pace but was very good bowler. The spin department is a concern. I guess it will take some time for us to produce a real quality bowler whether spin or fast. Also I dont think BCCI is entirely responsible for India not having Genuine Quick bowlers.

I think that only kapil Dev have been able to create the feeling of fear for the batsman. There have been no one better then him till now in the bowling as well as captaincy section.
I think irfan pathan have got a lot of talent and can become a great bowler and piyush chawla have a superb spinning talent.

I quite agreewith you. Munaf Patel, Sreesanth and Bose have the potential to become match winning bowlers. In the spin departmentPiush Chawla is a good future prospect

none likes to go off their monopoly just like that. BCCI was with fret and fear when Kapil , an Icon of Indian cricket joined hand with ICL..They thought they will be losing teir ground.they might have lost the ground if Lalit Modi did not act war footedly to compete the ICL/ any rebel for instance. What Kapil said is correct and time will prove that. BCCI is very rich so it can dictate terms to ICC also.

this is bcoz of the politics in the BCCI. In the pace department we have very good bowlers like Munaf, Sreesanth, L.Balaji,etc.

so they have to be well trained and must be given opportunities to compete. but in the spin dept., we don't find any bowler to succeed anil. he is a true match winner. so it will take much efforts to find one like him and for that we have to have an unbiased management who r committed to serve India and INDIAN cricket
