You just described me!! How funny!
I am 6 weeks, 2 days preggo and I feel like I can't ever get enough to eat!!! I am just as tall and weigh just as much as you so I know what you mean. I am trying not to start gaining so much yet as I am only in the very beginning.
But yes, it is normal because I am going through the same thing. My husband cracks up at how much I have been eating lately.... I would eat a regular meal one minute and about an hour or so later I am starving again!!!!
Don't worry though!!!
Just try to stay away from fattening foods. That's what I have been trying to do.
Good luck!
P.s. I hardly have the morning sickness either. Only every once in a while..... You must be my preggo twin! :)

I never threw up with my first, I did have a strong gag reflex throughout but it wasn't really anything that bothered me that much. With my second I had Hyperemesis which means that I was vomiting around 20 times a day until I was put on the right medication that reduced it to 3 or 4 times a day.
Intense hunger is normal and from what you said I think you should probably add a healthy snack before bed and in between meals.
With my first I gained 31 and most of it was in the 7th and 8th month.
With my second I gained 10 the first 2 months and ate like a horse and only gained another 10 and would accationally lose 1 or 2 pounds despite eating a lot.
My point is that every women experiences something different with every pregnancy so just try to eat the healthy stuff first. Don't deny yourself the junk if you crave it just try to not eat an entire pie if that is what you want.

First of all, to Mathieu: do your research, pregnant women are not supposed to "eat for 2". You should only add approximately 300 calories to your diet when pregnant. It is very common to get the hungries, and the morning sickness may or may not come eventually. When you are hungry, eat, but everything in moderation. Fruits, veggies, and healthy snacks. Once a day I indulge in a "not so healthy" food, but I did that pre-pregnancy too. At 6 weeks, you shouldn't be gaining much weight anyways. I'm 5'4", 163, and in my 15th week of my 4th pregnancy, and I've gained a little over 2 pounds at this point. The real weight gain comes in the third trimester.

Yes its normal. Your body is going through so many changes and it takes a lot of calories to build a baby. Don't worry about the weight gain. If you are eating properly, then you won't end up gaining 50+ pounds. The point with weight gain is to eat the right types of food. If you you eat little debbie cakes and Doritos for 9 months then of course its going to pack on the pounds. But if you are eating a balanced diet, even if it is more food than you ate pre-pregnancy, you will not gain too much. When I was pregnant I stayed close to the food pyramid, with some little splurges here and there, and I only gained 18 pounds during the whole 9 months. Hope this helps.

The baby takes alot out of you. You should eat when you feel hungry. maybe not a big meal just a healthy snack. I have had 2 kids and I gained alot of weight with my first and stayed very skinny with my second and have always eaten the same. Don't over eat and don't under eat. If you don't eat enough the baby will take the nutrients from your body and you will be the only one to suffer. As you get further along you won't feel hungry all the time. Right now everything sounds like it is going the way it should.

Hi there. As you have probablly heard every pregnancy is different. Some women do have morning sickness. Others, the lucky ones lol, don't. I am currently 16wks pregnant with baby number 2. I have experienced very bad morning sickness that has finally let up and I have experienced that extreme hunger as well. You are probablly just one of the lucky ones. I would not worry about it. I would just listen to your body and eat when you are hungry. If you are really worried talk to your doctor and they can help find a reason for the way you feel. HTH. :)

Sure its normal! There is a baby growing inside you! They need a lot of energy from you to do it. If you are like I was with my first baby concerning this you need to eat something when you feel this way, doesn't have to be a big mac or something huge or fattening, lol but eat when your body tells you too or that's when the morning sickness could get you.Lots of time morning sickness is sever indigestion from when the body has too much acid built up (from not eating when it wants or expects food) Just watch what you eat, low fat but don't forget the protein and vitamins and if you do get indigestion tums are safe and work great. Oh and Congratulations on your first baby :D sooo wonderful

Hey, I'm with you. I haven't had any morning sickness, but like you, I feel that I have to have something to eat right after waking up. I'm 20 weeks and I've only gained 3 lbs. Make sure you don't overeat. You only need to increase your calorie intake by 300 now.

Perfectly normal! and don't worry if any weight is gained it can be taken off with exercise, or alteration of the diet after birth to lose the weight if you choose, there is a exercise called swimming dragon, it is perfect for losing weight, but keep it under control now, and get your nourishment for the baby; when the baby is born; give yourself time to recover your energies this way you can catch up back with your health, also deep inhales that are slow and mild are good to promote good oxygen supply to the blood, before birth and after birth. You will conquer and everything will be fine, and check in with the doctor to make sure. Also! water births are options to relieve stress during labor, your spouse must practice with you so when the time comes you are both prepared. Another thing keep hydrated this way the minerals can flow through you easier, the foods that must not be eaten that are dangerous to your health are pork, beef, shrimps, crayfish, and any fish with little are no scales are bad also, the foods that are good is fish with many scales, chicken"baked not fried", and fruits and vegatbles and juices that are not too acidic, stay away from white breads, eat wheat breads, eat foods that does not have too much salt, and also make sure to not eat too much spicy or oily foods for they can create heart-burn and acid-reflux (where the stomach digest itself and the lining of the stomach weakens), soda's create acid and free radical damage that can speed up the aging process as well as do heart damage, stomach damage and rob the body of main minerals, water melon is good, alcohols are acid causing also, and various wines. Red wines might have alot of anti-oxidants but, it can increase high blood sugar levels and do nerve damage watch out for these when eating and drinking stay far from them, because they create havoc in the body, for even if it is not felt now; it will in time to come so! beware of those foods that are bad, sushi is a risk during pregnancy that one should take until after your health has reached it's peak and you gain much energy, because! of the risk of cross-contamination in the food industry, wait until you are through with the pregnancy and have recovered your strength.
