Both. I am into Harry Potter and I like the Professor Snape protrayed in the movie better than the one in the book. A couple of years ago I was searching the web and found out that he played Hans in Die-Hard. And I loved that role also. Both roles gives him a charming personality-even if he plays the villian in one and an anti-hero in the other. I hope he plays Professor Snape in the remaining HP Series. And he is definitely not a washed up actor, he is tops in my book along with Harrison Ford. However, do not knock people if they do not want to watch Harry Potter. It is their choice
I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks Professor Snape is sexy.

Neither, he'll always be the Metratron from "Dogma" for me.... I love that voice, pity he's built like a Ken Doll.
