put it in a deep bowl it should not drip everywere. When there was a hurricane in my state we had to use a candle and there was no plate under it and fell on my 5 year old sister.

I'm not sure how easy these are to come by. There is a ring that fits right on a taper candle. The ring extends out from the candle, usually about an inch all the way around the candle. They come in metal (nicer, fancier ones) or can be as simple as a paper throw-away kind, and I'm sure they come in plastic, glass, etc...
Try the candle section of WalMart (they do seem to have a little bit of everything) or someplace like that first. If that doesn't work, then a candle store would be your best bet. I like the Yankee Candles store, both for the candles that last forever and for the candle accessories.
Hope this helps.

Using a candle that has previosly been frozen helps but is not 100% failsafe the only other thing I can suggest is to visit a candle store and purchase one of those non-drip candles it states it on the label what its all about and how it works if your not sure you have chosen the right candle then ask the assis tant that is what he/she is there for Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.........................

Frozen candles do not drip as much. Be careful of "dripless" candles as many of them have lead or other heavy metals in them to slow the burning. I always buy made in US candles as they are heavy metal free, you can never tell about China or other 3rd world manufacturers.

Freeze them, it will slow the dripping, but regardless, when the wax melts it will drip. Also, higher quality candles drip less, it all depends on the candle mixture. I always buy candles that are high quality. They last longer, drip less and are more fragrant.
