I broke my ankle many years ago and it takes a great deal of time for it to heal. You're looking at a good year before it is fully recovered. Do not overdue. Every time you do it's going to setback your progress. I'm sure you're receiving physical therapy. You can talk to the doctor and therapist about what they think will be the time line. Just believe me when I tell you it does take a long time. After 30 years I still get incredible pain and problems in my ankle and have to get physical therapy.

It depends how severe the break, how healthy your bones are and how healthy your diet is etc as well how well you follow docs orders etc. Try increasng your protein in your diet to see if that helps speed up your healing.

just keep on following the doctors instructions and you should be okay......I'm sure by now you dont have a cast anymore but you should rest it as much as you can.
